yd6016es problem

Hello all
well considering when i turned off last night everything was running just fine.
all my yd6016es are coupled together with patch cables back to the yd7001 ext in (NO e-Link connection)
turned on this morning and my problem started with a yd6016es not working
this is module numbers 10 and 11.

I have changed the patch cables and it is not that

if I unplug module 11 then 10 works if I replug in 11 the green light goes off on 10 and 11 green light comes on but not showing occupies (sensor 174/175)?
see pic
has any one got any ideas please as this has been working great up until I turned on today

a) What is the total s88 cable length ? ( from Command Station until the last module )

b) What modules are #1 thru #9 ?

Edited

Cable length in total is 4.9 mtrs
module 1 is a yd6016es module 2 is a dr4088 module 3 to 11 is yd6016es

looks like when plugin number 11 it knocks out 10 and 11

I have tried modules 10 and 11 separately and they work ok
thanks Alan

What if you swap Module 2 ( 4088-CS ) with Module 11 ( 6016ES-CS ) ?

?

Although 4.9 is out of spec by 1.9 Meters for the YD6016ES's, people report this working ok.?

?

Otherwise only a YD6016LN-CS on pos. 10 and after that your next ES is compliant option.

?

i dont?understand what you mean about out of spec when you said it was 5 mtr cable length?from the yd7001
I don't have any yd6016 lns?
what will changing the position of the dr4088 make

can you explain this one look at the pics attached with the mouse over number 129 its shows 128 and 137 shows 136 and from then up over they are all 1 out

';on the s88 bus module on the yd7001 the numbering of the sensors are correct in sequence up until 128 it says 8:16 then 129 shows 128 9:1 then they are all 1 out right up the scale
can you help please

is there a bug in the software

Nope, works as designed. But....

?

The YD7001 can fully configure and address 1-128 inputs (8x 16-bit modules) Modules above are run in "legacy mode".

?

That means that they get numbered as if it were in the DR5000 --> "First contact in feedback space" + 128? for the 9th module upwards.

?

So if you want to use more than the recomended 8 modules you are more or less obliged to follow the legacy numbering scheme.

?

That is:?

?

"First contact in feedback space" set to 0 and answer Yes to the automatic renumber question.

Our spec is a guaranteed maximum of 3 meters, as is the original M?rklin spec for the s88 Bus. Provided that all YD6016ES modules are contiguous connected from the command station on. "non ES-Link modules (i.e. DR4088) should be connected AFTER the last ES-Link Module. This is required, since DR4088 do not carry the ES-Link signals "upstream" to the later modules on the string.

?

I mentioned 5 meters, because some people her and in other fora reported 5 or more meters also working. But it's in the range of "getting luky when it works".?

what i mean by out of sink is

if you open up the yd7001 software click on the exts88 and click on feedbacks?

follow the numbers down until you come to number128 the next number should be 129 but it shows 128 the next number should be 129

Gives this:

?

?

But as said before, to use this ( more than 8 modules ) you *must*? set "First Contact in Feedback Space" to 0.

?

This is the way it looks in "LocoNet Space" :

If you would desire,?

?

You might then want to re-allocate the first 128 contacts:
