I had the same issue and they replaced 12 (out of 30) of mine. I use Railcom so turning it off was not an option. I added these about a year ago and the issue cleared up ! Bus Suppressors/Terminators

It sounds like the 50018 was not set up correctly and you were using it as an On/Off switch rather than setting the correct option for solenoid motors which would explain why the motors were buzzing
