Re: Connecting Z21 app, DR5000 and Train Controller
You can connect via USB with a DR5000, and one protocol on WiFI/LAN - you cannot have a different protocol on WiFi and different one on the LAN Many Thanks Iain Morrison [email protected]>

Re: Connecting Z21 app, DR5000 and Train Controller
My connection to Train Controller is by usb to the PC.? If I select? the z21 protocol will that leave the loconet TC connection unaffected? John

Re: DR5033 Wiring to DR5088RC Diag wrong?
The DR5033 does not have a J & K designation.?? Just wire it up as shown in the drawings. Can you give us more information on what is your problem? -- Dennis Cherry Owner/Moderator

Re: Connecting Z21 app, DR5000 and Train Controller
You can only have one wifi protocol, but can still have wired connections to Loconet and / or Xpressnet. Mike Ruby

DR5033 Wiring to DR5088RC Diag wrong?
I think I have some shorting issues.? Now, I suspect it is because I wired my YD7001 (ex DR5000) and the DR5033 boosters to the DR5088RCs as per the diagram provided. But I think they may have drawn

Re: Connecting Z21 app, DR5000 and Train Controller
With a DR5000 you can only have one active protocol, Z21 or Loconet, but NOT both. The YD9401 allows you to have multiple protocols active simultaneously. Sent: Friday, October 20, 2023 3:36

Connecting Z21 app, DR5000 and Train Controller
Hi, I run RR&Co Train Controller connected by COM port 5 to a DR5000 which is connected to my PC by USB.? The PC is connected by cable to the home network. I want to use the Z21 app to provide a

Re: YD7001 LocoNet connection problem
Karst, I captured this log block on failure @~10 min. Also, I changed the ports to 1234 and this had no positive effect on the problem. -- - Bob

Re: YD7001 LocoNet connection problem
Karst, I did a bit more testing. I have seen it fail within as little as four minutes. I observed that the client LED went dark on the command station hardware but not on the windows app desktop

Re: YD7001 LocoNet connection problem
Karst, I ran it again after resolving the port conflict and the log change. I checked it after about 20 minutes of idle time (just the YD7001 and Pi/JMRI running) and it failed. here are the

Re: YD7001 LocoNet connection problem
Karst, I provided my connection in another posting but neglected to include that I have always used Static IP addresses as I reserve these in my router for all household devices. Regards, Bob

Re: YD7001 LocoNet connection problem
Karst, It is not intuitive that an unselected protocol would still consume a port resource. Thank you for adding a check for duplication and a kind warning against conflicts. I use multiple JMRIs.

Re: YD7001 LocoNet connection problem
Karst, In my tests, the failure would not become apparent until an action on the JMRI side was attempted. The System Console monitor and the YD7001 log would be clear in a full idle. The drop would

Re: YD7001 LocoNet connection problem
Well, Both I and the YD7001 + JMRI had a good nights sleep. :) that is: on and connected now for over 10 hours, JMRI completely idle. No disconnect happened. This is easy to check by looking at the

Re: YD7001 LocoNet connection problem
Question to both Don and Robert: How is your PC connected to the network where the YD7001 is on ? I assume you both have your YD7001 plugged in with a cable to your router? And the PC as well? If

Re: YD7001 LocoNet connection problem
Hi, Please set the port for LBServer back to 1234 as is the default for JMRI ? . Now you created a conflict with XpressNet's 5550. Turning it off does not mean it does not occupy that port. ( I

YD7001 LocoNet connection problem
I am still experiencing connection drops with LocoNet over TCP/IP. The timeout is set to zero as recommended. I have only two protocols selected. On startup I can run just fine but if I let the system
