Re: Club layout controlled by two chomebooks via z21 app
Hi you just hit THE DR5000 UDP-bug :D ( and at the same time one of the reasons of existence fort the YD7001 ;) ) The Bug implies, that things like Turnout-Position, Feedback State, Loco Speed are

Re: Club layout controlled by two chomebooks via z21 app
You may have too many devices connected. The actual Roco z/Z21 can only handle 8 connections reliably and IIRC the DR5000 is fewer. Iain Morrison https://wimorrison.com Sent: 12 March

Club layout controlled by two chomebooks via z21 app
Just putting this one out there. I am currently updating a club layout from the Hornby railmaster system. I have found the dr5000 very successful in the past whilst working with the z21 program. I'm

I find it interesting that you have to start JMRI first as I have always found the opposite. Glad you got it working. -- Heath @ Human[c]ity http://www.humancity.org ( http://www.humancity.org/

Re: DR5033 and YD6016LN-CS combo
To finalize the story: it now all works. I got JMRI to populate the sensor table as I switched each turnout and as I drove a loco along each track. Not too surprisingly I got a few wires crossed over

Re: DR5033 and YD6016LN-CS combo
Well I have some progress. I doubt anybody will find it useful, but here it is anyway: * I use Tortoise switch machines. * Some time ago Tortoise changed the edge connector so if you were using a

Wow! ?Thats pretty good service to replace all of them for you, I didn¡¯t realise it was a known issue. ?I have about 20 of them and some or all of them lose their address at regular intervals.

Re: Track Snubbers positioning
I accept you don¡¯t use Railcom but by default it is switched on with a DR5000 and is therefore present in the DCC signal. Did you switch it off? Iain

Re: Track Snubbers positioning
i never use rail com Ian but still have the problem i was in touch with DCC Concepts and Digikijes at the time but none could answer the question of the problem

Re: Track Snubbers positioning
DCC Concepts stuff is very sensitive to Railcom when it present though snubbers seems to reduce the issues, the only real ¡®cure¡¯ is to switch off Railcom (and that is what they will tell you to

Re: Track Snubbers positioning
Earlier (over 2 years ago) Digital IPs had this issue. DCC Concepts sent me a box of newer ones to replace them.

Each DR5033 and the YD7001 have their own 15v power supply that came with the module.

Which Power Supply do you use un the DR5033's and The YD7001 ? And do they all have their own PSU ? Greets, Karst

Heath, Useful because one of my concerns was that it simply wasn't a valid design. Here's why: * In some discussions the track output wires do matter in boosters. Others mention it is an H bridge and
