Re: DR5000 Upgrade to YD7001 at York Railway Modellers in Toronto
Karst All monitoring has been over USB since we received the YD9401 and upgraded the DR5000 to a YD7001.? As per your suggestion I have disabled the the YD9401 internal WIFI.? Both these steps

Oh, another bad assumption on my part...... I ASSUMED that because your app installed to the highest numbered hard drive that it had an aversion to Program Files (x86) and was a sort of portable

Re: Function key 2 (F2) is latching / non-momentary on the YD7001 ?
Oh groan! Whenever I've seen this discussed before it's gone nowhere slowly. Google searches on latching don't lead very far. With Karst thinking globally, and Digitrax and NCE thinking primarily of

That secret is called Windows Registry.... ;) Greets, Karst

Re: Function key 2 (F2) is latching / non-momentary on the YD7001 ?
Well, What should go where and what is propietary and not is hard to discuss. But... since we are planning a Roster in the YD9401... We could follow JMRI example to include it here. Fact is, there

Re: DR5000 Upgrade to YD7001 at York Railway Modellers in Toronto
For that, callup this screen: Here we have one WiFred via YD-WiFi, rest via HomeWiFi and LAN So you might want to monitor over USB, since when the YD9401 overloads, also the YD-Command is gone

Re: De sensitise DR4088LN-CS inputs.
FYI, I wired up my 4088CS units and just got to testing them last night and everything worked exactly as planned. If anyone is interested I could send photos later today of the wiring.

Re: Function key 2 (F2) is latching / non-momentary on the YD7001 ?
F2 horn non-latching for North American locos is sort of important. It's really hard to do a level crossing sequence otherwise! Now as to what controls the latching, I've noticed in the past that

Re: YD7001 and Windows 11
On the Control Props screen it was set to connect via DEMO and not USB. As soon as I switched to USB it fired into life again. Thanks for the clue. I am still getting used to the interface. I am

Re: De sensitise DR4088LN-CS inputs.
Alistair You are correct, you only need the resistors on the feedbacks that have the phantom occupation, however it will not cause any issues if you place them on the other feedbacks. Many people

Re: De sensitise DR4088LN-CS inputs.
Iain:? I will trust you, but how then do drop feeders get connected to the DR4088 using this methodology?? Does each track feeder (from each separate block) get inserted into the same connections

Re: De sensitise DR4088LN-CS inputs.
Hi Iain, I think it is correct that you don¡¯t ¡®need¡¯ to resistor all the feedbacks ? I¡¯ve just had to fit a resistor to one feedback on one of my DR4088s - the rest are OK

Re: De sensitise DR4088LN-CS inputs.
I repeat, the wires in Ryan¡¯s picture are NOT connected from the 1-8 terminals to the C terminals - one end of the resistor goes into the 1-8 and the other into the C terminal. Just do what is

Re: De sensitise DR4088LN-CS inputs.
Iain: I appreciate all the advice, thanks for helping me. Still confusing to me, all of the wires from 1-8 or 9-16 are soldered to the 'C' in Ryan's photographs, all are shown to be tied (soldered)

Re: De sensitise DR4088LN-CS inputs.
The layout wires from 1-8 and 9-16 are NOT connected to the C terminals. These wires go to the layout track and the motor draws current. Some of that current flows through the DR4088xx and the rest
