Hi Brian
My
gut feel is that the install of level 68 on Windows somehow failed and you are dealing either with an old driver or a corrupt one.? ?When you installed the level 68, did you get prompted to install two drivers - one for the YD7001 and the other for the YD9401 (this is what I saw at our club, but I did not proceed to update the 2 firmwares as the YD7001 was being used during our operations night).? The driver is used to communicate between Windows and the device, and in this case it will be? a firmware chip on either the YD7001 or the YD9401. So I believe the problem is on the Windows side not the YD7001/YD9401. I have seen similar problems when upgrading the DR5000.
My first suggestion would be to completely uninstall the YD7001 software on the Windows PC.? Then install the software again and see if that corrects the problem - it did when I was dealing with the original DR5000.? I am not 100% sure this will work.
If the problem persists, I would think Karst will need to know:
- Level of Windows
- Whether you are using a USB connection (required for updates as I recall) or if the connection from the Windows PC to the YD70001 is over ethernet (LAN).
- What firmware you were trying to update - YD7001 or YD9401
- A complete capture of the messages you are seeing.
Since I have yet to upgrade the firmware on the YD7001/YD9401 I have no idea if I will run into a similar problem.
Let us know if uninstall followed by install fixes the problem.
