Re: Trying to program DR4018 from NCE PH Pro

Thanks Dennis and Chris,

I have now been able to throw a switch so I am on my way.? Guess I will give up on the programming?track and just use the main.

(If I understand the programming track in DCC, there is no address.? Whatever is on the programming track gets programmed.? That is what I meant about the 9999.? ?Makes sense on the main but not on the prog track.? I think )

Welcome aboard:

Download the US version of the DR4018 manual of the forum.? /g/Digikeijs/files/Digikeijs%20Products/DR4018,%20DR4101,%20DR4102%20and%20DR4103%20Switch%20Decoders/DR4018-Manual.US-EN.20190609%20Released.pdf
Here is also the Advance version (Not Complete) showing how to us DecoderPro to program the DR4018
/g/Digikeijs/files/Digikeijs%20Products/DR4018%20Switch%20Decoder/DR4018-Manual%20US-EN%2020190619%20JMRI%20Programming%20Advanced%20%28Preliminary%29.pdf

Do not change CV3 or CV7 & 8 they must remain as is.? The Starting address is programmed using a turnout number and throwing the turnout.

If you want to do customized program there are some here already done.

DecorderPro can be used to if you need to and it already has the file for the DR4018.

POM work real well to change the CV's on the DR4018 and is faster, you do not need to add any extra load resistor.

Dennis
