Do not change CV3 or CV17 & CV18 they must remain as is.? The Starting address is programmed using a turnout number and throwing the turnout.

If you want to do customized program there are some DecoderPro DR4018 files here already done.

DecorderPro can be used to if you need to and it already defined in DecoderPro for the DR4018.

POM works real well to change the CV's on the DR4018 and is faster, you do not need to add any extra load resistor or disconnect it from the layout.
