Thanks for the question, Roger!? Sorry if I didn¡¯t make it clear to everyone, I¡¯ve been working with the State Park people to address the details and get contracts and paperwork (and fees and expenses) started for this year (and laying the groundwork for next year and more!).
?
To answer your question: cars, scopes, and lighter campers (single and double axel) ARE ALLOWED to be on the field together.? Restrictions only apply to heavy campers, RVs, and 5th wheelers.?
?
This means that I will need some. ??I would like EVERYONE pulling a camper or trailer to send the make, model #, weight, length, # of axles to me.? I can then plan out the spaces and we can save time at registration.? Larger heavier units may be directed to the hard-pack parking lot, but I will discuss this with any individual owners if I have concerns.? If damage occurs, I¡¯ll learn what the limits really are.? No one knows, and I don¡¯t want to find out the hard way.
Short single axles under +/- 1200-1400 pounds like the Scamp caused no issues, and I doubt lighter double axles will be cause for concern.? This means that light double axles can be allowed on the field with car and scope¡ªI think Mr. Leuba¡¯s will be fine---
but may need to be strategically located fit in a space and to avoid blocking other¡¯s observing area, or if too long, the car parked elsewhere.? We are going to play it by ear and learn together. ??
?
I am liable for any damages at my expense.? That said, there was no discernable damage on the field last year, even after 4 days of rain.? And those who owned heavy campers voluntarily stayed off the field.
?
There are some other details I can elaborate on, but I will review my previous email and see what I included/excluded.?
I hope to see Roger, Paul and others at the Memorial Day weekend event if they plan to attend this year¡¯s Black Forest Star Party, which shares our September dates.? You may like this spot, too.
I have been slammed at work and other business, but hope to have the web pages updated soon.

Hi Phil
From your last update - 2/2/2020? - as see at?/g/YCSP, it is not entirely clear what the camping situation is for the 2 dates ¡ per the poll we took.
IE, will we be able to drive our cars on to the field? Do they need to be in the parking lot?
Maybe I missed it but can you clearly state what it is we can and cannot do with regard to our equipment and vehicles?
Thanks
Roger
