Re: Xrf burnt bulb
Nick, do check the window on your GEO-1-2-3. That's the only thing we worry about in shipping. Geo To: "XRF" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, July 15, 2020 10:18:32 AM Subject: Re: [XRF] Xrf

" 15W bulb ..not 15 tungsten bulbs..." haha, good joke for XRF people! An incandescent bulb is a rich source of XRF-able elements. In yours I see copper, maybe zinc (in the brass), tin, lead

Not sure what it was originally used with. But I have a few power supplies around here. Several of the Glassman but they are -50kV as set up now. Not sure how fine the control on those is but intend

What does the HV plug in to? They don¡¯t show the end of the connector. What power supply does it use. Looks good enough to dose yourself with. It would be be nice with a CdTe or HPGe detector for

Yes! There was a chinese seller trying to pawn off one XR-100 I think, with a broken Be window. I offered him $50, noting that it is almost worthless. He declined.

Several MCA8000A versions are showing up on eBay. It should be understood that these are not complete MCAs, like a Spectrum Techniques UCS-20/30 or an URSA2. The sections lacking are the front end

The current production DP5-PC5 and matching Si-PIN/preamp DO run at 170-180V. BUT- here's a caveat on the Si-PIN HV setting on older units. From a 2003 Amptek manual when all they had were the PX2
