[OpticalSpectroscopyGroup] [XRF-Page-2] syenite
开云体育Taray, Looking at your optical spectra it looks like at least three of the rounded peaks look to be Sm. Dud ? ? ? From: [email protected]

The new run is seeing Ce, La, Nd, Nb (16.62), Y (14.96) Ga is still pretty weak at 9.27 and maybe Se at 11.27 The REE’s seen in XRF would tend to confirm the optical spectra is showing what is presumed to be REE’s as well Dud ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of taray singh via groups.io ? Here are??the sites and files which are self explanatory? Chatgpt is a good guide? ? Fluorescent spectroscopy can enhance XRF analysis by providing complementary information about the sample's elemental composition and mineralogy. It helps identify specific fluorescent peaks that may indicate the presence of certain elements or compounds, aiding in the interpretation of XRF data. Additionally, it can assist in distinguishing between overlapping spectral lines and enhancing the detection of trace elements, ultimately improving the accuracy of the analysis. End Besides some organic substances glow under UV In a diagnostic way Many dyes and proteins have specific florescent activity? If you follow optical spectrum forum, gin tonic has got a optical florescent compound called quinine with specific absorption and florescent peaks Xrf will not show anything since it is purely organic mixture. ?
?Repeated xrf for syenite with my my 60KV??xray setup? Ga not seen? As is showing up May Nb is hiding??somewhere? Ce is showing its presence? Attempted dil HCl method with broken particles by scrapping with a file The solution remains too dilute with very light orange fluorescence Maybe I should grind a rock first but no intention. Not enough florophores dissolving??to give bright orange flourescense. Direct rock method is limited by small sized orange glows which widely scattered? If there is a big patch of orange glow.,things could have??been easier Files to follow Tq ? ? ? On Monday, October 21, 2024, 11:17 PM, Dude <dfemer@...> wrote:

Is there As in there?
Repeated with syenite front face florescence with 365 nm UV
Despite 2 rd and 3th order peaks, the peaks are better and coincide with data from articles
Similar florescent spectrum noted with 406 nm laser light with orange florescence
The blue light is so intense with yellow glow,it made no difference doing with lights on
Lights on gave me better precision with sharper peaks?? with 405? nm laser
This time using cosine adaptor as well
Ok with Sm, any other REE?
What is 624nm peak?
Thanks

开云体育Pr+3 would have a 624 and a 645nm peak both of which are seen here. Dud ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of taray singh via groups.io

Zircon coexisting with florescent orange sodalite will give yellow florescense This zircon florescense is typically a broad yellow band at 575 nm There??is a slope in this region with both 405 nm and 365 UV excitation? There are florescent lines from 600 to 700 nm spectrum? No ones??knows with certainty what is causing this lines besides the possibility of REEs? Work with synthetic sodalite indicates that it is the presence of sulfur as a polysulfide which is responsible for the fluorescence of sodalite. Pics of florescent close ups spectrum of 405 nm and 365 excitation and article? Thanks? On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, 10:59 PM, taray singh via groups.io <sukhjez@...> wrote:

开云体育Zircon’s are noted for hosting REE and the XRF shows that. The sodalite Cl is also seen in the XRF. The optical spectra is a good match based on that paper. Dud ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of taray singh via groups.io

There is S in there too When??mixed powdered rock with dil HCl ,some minor effervescence took place? After attempting to dry, there was rotten egg smell suggestive of H2S I tried??casually heating and doping with sulfur,,..no change??in glow intensity??On Thursday, October 24, 2024, 12:08 AM, Dude <dfemer@...> wrote:

开云体育Taray, The XRF shows the S at 2.3nm, Cl at 2.62nm, Al at 1.45 nm, and K at 3.36. Dud From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of taray singh via groups.io
