Since there hasn't been much going on here, I thought I might start up a conversation.

Does anyone have and experience with EFI on 2 strokes?

If so, which engine?

Results?

Try Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI).

Well, anyway.....I am going to start a project with hopes of building a reliable EFI system for 2 strokes. ?There is a company that sells such a system, mostly for 1 or 2 cylinder engines. ?Multiple cylinders for a cost.

For my test bed, I have a spare 2SI 690. ?I came across a forum where an experimenter converted his Yamaha Banshee to EFI. ?I am basing my system on his results using throttle bodies from a Yamaha R6.

So, when I get started, I will post some info. ?First things first; the exhaust needs attention on the 2SI. ?Not a good design, robust but not efficient.

More to come later

Nolton,

? ?I sure will, here is a link to the forum post of THE358BANSH

This guy has made some significant progress with his project, interesting read nonetheless.

For those interested;

? ?I will upload some pics here soon. ?In the meantime;

Base engine is a spare 2si-690 from my XAIR,

I plan to use Yamaha R6 throttle bodies,

Megasquirt ECU, plus various sensors and wiring.

More to come soon.
