I live in India, and till a couple of years ago, used to fly on two X-Air with Jabiru 2200. I didn't have any issues with the engine, but others had had atleast one each of engine out landings on both

What does everybody think about a 582 at 5000 ft elevation and an average temperature of 75 degrees. I am talking about an X-air Standard. Thanks.

I have seen a variety of engines put on them overseas. See this response to an earlier thread - Looks great, nice to see it restored. All you need now is a 912 engine, then it will leap in the air

Re: X-Air Ultralight Aircraft X-Air-F 503
If I was to look for a higher HP rated engine is there a max weight that can be installed in place of the 582 ,not sure how much the Jabiru comes it at complete? or even the Bmw conversion?. I know

Re: X-Air Ultralight Aircraft X-Air-F 503
I am flying an X-Air F in tropical north Queensland, Australia with a brand new Rotax582 (65HP). In these hot humid conditions, the 582 is Ok with one up but certainly struggles a lot more with 2 POB

Re: X-Air Ultralight Aircraft X-Air-F 503
With that said are you saying the 582 at 65hp is not enough as well, I was judging the X-Air with the flightstar that flies pretty good with a 503 ,I understand they are different but they do have a

Re: X-Air Ultralight Aircraft X-Air-F 503
The 503 is not enoughpower for a large 2 seat aircraft like the X-Air and never on the "F" model which needs about 75 plus HP to fly properly. Thanks Michael h.hibbs@...

Re: X-Air Ultralight Aircraft X-Air-F 503
Is that because of the shorter wing and smaller tail, the standard used a 503 right. Thanks
