Intresting and what has Raj Hamsa the x-xair company in India been doing last 10 years? Their website has not been updated since 2014.

Just saying hello
Greetings All.
My name is Griff, I’m 29 years old, and I was born blind, and I am on the autism spectrum. Despite the obvious challenges, I have been flying for around five years. I am very interested in owning an ultralight, me and my dad have owned one before, although unfortunately, while he was flying it, it stalled during takeoff. This happened on the second flight that he took after we bought it. We are interested in either a X-Air Standard or a X-Air Hanuman. I would be interested in getting more information about the aircraft, although from what I’ve heard, I think it’s much better than the UltraLite we used to own. It’s much more forgiving. We used to have a flightstar 2 sc with a HKS 700 T engine, but it’s stall speed was very high. At around 31 kn. As opposed to the 20 to 23 kn of the X-Air Standard. I’ve also heard much less in regards to accident reports with the x-air. I have heard very few accidents with this plane. I’d love to hear from any owners, and I’d love to hear if any are for sale in Australia secondhand. I would also love to hear what the best engine choice is with either x-air model, or what experiences people have had with engines. And what maintenance looks like as well. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards. Griff PS. My dad has a pilots license. But he isn’t as good at technology as I am. And I thought I would ask here. Also, flying and aircraft are very important and therapeutic for me. So it is mostly for me that we got the aircraft, but he got the license. |

开云体育That sounds like a fantastic opportunity for the youth flight training program with the EAA. This would be the absolute best outcome for everybody because the young people will learn how to rebuild an aircraft, get exposed to engineering ideas, flight safety etc..?? great opportunity for them !Rol wrote on 18/07/2023 5:26 am:

It was a two hour job for two people who had never done it before, but had watched Michael Coates excellent Xair build video on youtube. Thank you all for the excellent information guiding me on what to do about the abandoned X-air Standard that was on a neighbor's ranch.? He had asked me about it because I have a ranch with an airstrip nearby and he knew that many folks fly in to my place. I didn't have time to take on a paperwork hunt and restoration of it, and the ranch owner was not interested, so I arranged for him to meet an EAA chapter member who has a team that rebuilds light aircraft for a youth flight training program.? So the X-ar will be donated to that program. I am forwarding your information to the fellow

That video is a must for Xair enthusiasts.The aeroplane is currently de skinned and is being fitted with BMAA approved xlam skins from Topflight Sails in Tredegar, Wales. Nigel Sandercroft is the owner and very helpful. I will post some photos on the Facebook page to illustrate the project progress.

开云体育Your research is correct the standard X-Air and the flap model X-Air with the high mounted engine as you mention do not have folding wings. Even if they did have folding wings you still run need? to remove the exact same number of bolts as you need to take the wing off. All, This is a followup for my prior messages about the "barn find" XAIR.? It appears to be an early model with the engine mounted up high. The owner of the land where it sits wants it moved ASAP.? He sold that portion of his ranch and wants to move the plane elsewhere.? I am concerned if it is dismantled without care it could end up in a lot worse condition than it is in now. I heard that by removing the horizontal stabilizers and a few other items that the wings can pull partly out and then fold back against the fuselage. Could someone direct me to an operator's manual or instructions for accomplishing that?? It would make moving the plane and storing much better while I help him figure out what to do with it.? Funny you say that because this year once I took my airplane out of winter storage I put brand new NGK dr9ea spark plugs and the first three flights went great but then the fourth flight when I was checking my magnetos probably to taking off when I turned off the left Magneto the engine started running really rough so I took all the spark plugs out to give them a really deep clean and I expect to go flying again this coming Saturday and I hope the problem goes away but I have no idea why there was over 300 RPM difference once I turned off the left magnetos even though I put brand new spark plugs.
