Yes, i agree with Seamus.... 3mm is WAY to thick and distorts your vision. 6 mm as tried by one of my customers will brake your spirit and wallett.... 2mm is perfect !

All I have ever done is lay the old screen over a sheet of lexan and mark around it.
One thing to do first before removing old screen, is look how it fits at the moment, if it needs a bit more here

Rotax will provide better torque, esp if you want to use floats. My Jabiru 2200 performs fine, based on proper maintenance.
