I had a similar experiance with my Xair 'H'. The? original kit bungees did take a lot of effort to install.? I did get the 9 strands on but had to pull so much that?they were at their elastic limit, not leaving any left for actual suspension flex certainly not the 2" plus required.
?
When I came to replacing them?I experimented with different?bungee diameters, 12mm looked promising but had trouble getting them in the space behind the nylon washer, I inserted longer bolts but they bent. I went back to the 10mm and found that less that 9 strands was to soft, 9 strands bought me back to?the elastic limit. Thats how I left it, not very satisfactory but at least I don't now rock and roll taxying.

After flying my Hanuman for 6 years, I decided to replace the bungees on the suspension with new bungees from RandKar. I bought these bungees a few years ago and have stored them inside my house.

The manual calls for 4.5 revolutions or 9 strands in the center of the loops. I have been unable to stretch the bungees more than 3.5 revolutions (7 strands) and it was very difficult to get that far. I must be a weakling but is there a trick to getting them stretched to 9 strands? Even with 7 strands, the bungees are tighter than the 9 strands that I removed.

Advice? Thanks in advance. Superhuman strength is not available...
