The story goes ... the maintenance group that runs the FAMO decided that since one of their trucks with a 6 ton crane on it hit a land mine?and lost the whole front end that they could use the crane on the Famo instead of just having an empty storage space. So the wreck of the truck was cut apart, most all the parts that were on it will be part of the Famo. Of course there is always the scrounged odd part or two, I'm not sure what it will look like when done.
It will still be able to pull the transport trailer but now will also be of much more use to the maintenance and repair group.
