Re: W&W-Singer foot converter
Mike; Are you meaning presserbar rather than needle bar?. With that thought in mind, I think I am now following you. You would cut off the lower portion of the Singer presserbar to get the side

Re: W&W-Singer foot converter
I have an original Singer 7w with the low shank adaptor. This adaptor does not fit any of my W&W or Singer 9W machines as the needlebar is a different size. This Singer 9W was found in Upstate New

Re: W&W-Singer foot converter
Several things need to be considered here. The spacing between the presser bar & needlebar is greater on the W&W than a Singer. There even if a Singer presserbar can be made to fit the W&W the needle

Hi Mike;I have a photocopy of an original Bill of Sales for a D-9 SN 2,595,906 dated June 19, 1901. The problem with Bills of Sale, of course, is one has no idea how long it may have been "In Stock"

Hello group, I found a post with the following formula " To narrow it down a bit take its SN & subtract 2,200,000 from it. Divide the result by 75,000. Add the result to 1895 & you should be "Close",

Re: Attachments #9
A bit of noise is a built-in feature of straight cut gears. There has to be a bit of clearance to allow them to run smoothly without binding & this results in a bit of clatter as the teeth engage.
