My hand crank D9's do not have a knob on the side of the balance wheel to disengage the needle movement when winding the bobbin and I can't see any other way to do this.? Can anybody please enlighten me ?? Other than that and with the help of other members to find needles and bobbins to purchase (both of which I got from Helen Howes very quickly) my machines are both sewing beautifully.?
Also the only Manual I have is for a treddle which I presume is almost the same.
