One of my machines I think it is my Bradury made in Manchester UK has an issue that if I set a long stitch lenght my ordinary foot will ruffle by accident if your working with thin material.
My Singer ruffler foot does look rather complicated. I make me smile how good the engineers were all that time ago. It still makes me laugh how they made button hole and zig zag feet for a straight stich machine.
