I tend to just lift all four fingers off the bar on the throttle side for bikes....Most who are looking tend to look to the hands and see that. For cars who have let me past I use the continental

Re: Rear tire width question
The 120 is taller actually. The 120/90 is 12cms wide and 10.8 cms tall. The 4.00/18 is 4 inches ( 10.2cms) wide and 4 inches ( 10.2cms) tall. I traded height for fast turning. It's also ?10 cheaper!

Re: Rear tire width question
No...the '80' is a percentage of the other figure so a 120/80 is 80% of 120 mm which is 96 mm...Or 9.6 cms tall. The 120/90 is 108mm or 10.8 cms tall and the 130/80 is 10.5 cms. The 120/90 is 1.2 cms,

Re: Rear tire width question
Is the 120/90 as close to the 4.00/!* you use such as to make no difference?

Re: Rear tire width question
Ed The "80" part is the percentage of the width (the 120 or 130 part). So, 80% of 120 is less than 80% of 130, so you get a less tall tire with a 120/80. Dennis

Re: Rear tire width question
Why would a 120/80 lower the bike more than the stock 130/80? Isn't the 120/130 designating the width only? If they're both 80s they should be the same height. As far as putting a 90 on the rear come
