Re: Have you ever carried your W on a platform mounted to your trailer hitch?
I used to carry a 200# Ossa 250 trials bike on those but where is a car anymore with a bumper? I have considering rigging my hitch receiver with a similiar 2-loop setup to haul my motorized bicycle,

$650. No; I'm thinking of the cradle that fits into a receiver hitch. Yoiu drive the bike up on it and lash it down. "Dennis J. Guggemos" <djguggms@...> wrote: John What kind of quotes did you

Aloha Hazel, My English heretige dates prior to automobiles, so I don't know what you would call a bumper..what we refer to as bumpers are thouse things on the front and rear of cars, which originally

Re: Have you ever carried your W on a platform mounted to your trailer hitch?
There used to be a system where there were two hoops that hooked over your bumber..the tires fit in the hoops..carried my Suzuki P50 that way..not recommended for a bike the size of the W though.

It is recommended that you not apply brakes at all. James Franklin 2411 Pine Summit DR. E Jacksonville, Florida 32211 808-225-0994 (cell) From: Ruari McLennan <r.mclennan@...> Reply-To:

Re: I've Done It (I think)
In case of wobble or weave... Hold firmly to the grips, but don't try to stop the weave..that will only intensify the occilation. Gradually slow down..inertia will overcome the bikes side to side

Re: I've Done It (I think)
Is it recommended to apply the brakes as well? Given what you say, I suspect, if at all, & maybe it isn't, it should be the front brake applied gently?

Re: I've Done It (I think)
Agreed. I've tried several things but on the W if the bike shows a propensity to weave at all, and that is decided by the riders body size, it'll weave earlier going into a headwind and less running

Re: Have you ever carried your W on a platform mounted to your trailer hitch?
John What kind of quotes did you get for shipping? If you're thinking about one of those tow bars that rests the rear wheel on the pavement, don't. That's 3000 miles of half your transmission turning.

Have you ever carried your W on a platform mounted to your trailer hitch?
I'm looking at a W 3000 miles from here. Shipping would be REALLY high, but my brother is near the W for a couple of months and could possibly bring it to me on the hitch of his 3/4 ton truck.
