In Ontario gov¡¯t legislation requires ¡°up to¡±10% ethanol. My bike is used regularly so I cannot source some kind of special racing fuel or airport gas. I use premium grade with a touch of Stabil or other kind of storage additive at every fill up.
Winter storage requires a heavier dose of Stabil and the tank topped up with premium gas to allay rust in the fuel tank. Always drain the carbs, it is easy with a long 3mil hex wrench. I drain the tank in the spring and refill with new ¡°summer grade¡± premium and dump the Dubya gas in the lawn mower or car.
Works so far. Never touched the carbs in the last 10 years and @ 82,000 km so far.
