So I unpacked the W after our move and put oil into it and filled the tank. Ran about 100
miles two-up (read: low rpms so as not to scare the wife), and filled the tank up again. Did
the math and got about 45 mpg (up from an average 35'ish). Next tank full was all me alone
riding to/from work. Did 103 and filled up with 2.048 gallons. So about 50 mpg. I didn't
change anything except moved from Austin (about 600 feet above sea level, where I was
getting 35 mpg) to out here at the Chesepeake bay area which I assume is roughly +1 or so
feet above sea level. Was I running rich in Austin and went lean here? Doesn't seem like
enough altitude change for that drastic a mpg change.
Also I guess I like to be included on any PA/MD/VA rides or get togethers if y'all don't mind.
thanks,
