Re: :WAS goodwood breakfast club NOW MDS STRIKES AGAIN

I was a bit disappointed with the 800 as it felt a bit like a Japanese bike.It had the low seat fitted which caused my legs to be a bit cramped. It also felt a bit buzzy. The fairing did however give quite good protection and it cruised at 90 quite comfortably. the handling was good as well. One feature I did like was that once the fuel light came on there was a display showing a count down as to how many miles are still left before pushing. Nice bike but not for me. Having said that I would like to try the rumoured GS version.
I always wanted the 1150 Gs but found it far too tall even when the lower seat was fitted. The 1200 is not only lower but is also a lot lighter than old 1150.. I could either get both feet on the floor albeit not flat or one foot flat on the floor without stretching. for my other impressions of it see my reply to Ruari
As to waving bit have you tried using more than 2 fingers :) have a look for a HD rider he/she might just return to your wave

LOL...didn't realise it was that expensive.

There you thinking about a new bike and it was only a few weeks ago
you were thinking about packing in biking and just getting a little
commuter. What was the 800 like, I actually like the one with the half
fairing, rather than the full fairing, although that is based only on
looks as I have never ridden one...hence my question before about
trying them.

As to a GS, its back to the being intimidated by a big bike syndrome
again I'm afraid. In terms of what the bike can do I reckon it would
be the perfect bike for me but size is scary...cue Jake with Bishop
and actress jokes :>)

Still at least if you get a Beemer maybe there will one on the road
that will wave to me; at present, on my commute, I see a big RT, a
Honda Hornet, Triumph Bonnie (really nice colour scheme) and none of
them will wave, whether this is because I am on my little stroker or
whether they are just miserable s*ds I have no idea.
