It seems that you have found the problem area.? No PTT signal.? I don¡¯t know how the SignalLink works for PTT. ? ?Does your packet modem software use VOX or a com port?
Ra board responds ra board not found. It is currently set on vox.

I am not receiving or transmitting...nothing to listen to. I have tried opening the modem software first and last....

Try monitoring your transmission using a second radio.? You should hear a steady digital buzz. Then listen on the channel to see if the gateway is responding.? As others have stated, level setting is critical and only use vara narrow mode. ?

Try opening the VARA FM modem software first before starting Winlink Express.? The observe the IQ display to see if you get a good response.? Be sure AVC is not checked in Windows audio setting for the USB signal link.

I am unable to get vara fm to work using an Alinco DR-B185 and a Signalink. The system works fine sending and receiving winlink packet. I think I have tried every setting available. Computer is a Dell Latitude 6410.
