Re: Soundcard device missing in action!

Nothing yet, Ken, but I haven't given up.

I have ordered cables to enable rig control on my TS-480 through a USB port on my computer.? I have downloaded the ARCP-480 software from Kenwood.? My cable should be hre on Tuesday 06/04/24.

I have numerous searches for a possible fix, all to no avail.

I'm now of the belief that rig control may be a necessity to run WInlink/VARA-HF on the 480.

As I understand it, Speakers (Realtek Audio) is the default device in WIndows, and USB AUDIO CODEC is the default communications device.

Which is the DEFAULT sound device(s) according to Windows?

Should be the Realtek Audio, not the USB AUDIO CODEC.

If you plug the USB into a different port, Windows tends to assign the 'new' sound card as the Windows default.

Thank you for the reply.

Settings for Signalink are USB AUDIO CODEC for input and output.
?
Settings for system sounds are Realtek Audio.
