We have received approval for our WISUDS event proposal from the VAAP Board of Directors.

We are moving forward! I’ve attached the first draft of the proposal.

Here’s the details:

1. Youth For Tomorrow – Venue

11835 Hazel Cir Dr, Bristow, VA 20136

2. Christine Capshew and Arianna Hronich – ASAM Trainers – need to secure contract formally. I will follow up with them.
3. Sponsorships:
1. Youth For Tomorrow – gets 6 seats for the training
2. $2,000 Sponsorship (would like 2-3 of these sponsors):

On individuals, we may want to ask for membership # and expiration date to reinforce that it is for members only.

?

For sponsors, I think we need to emphasize that it’s for VAAP Community Partners only.

Consideration:? If we include 3 registrations with Event Sponsor, that’s only a $650 “profit” and we could be giving away 3 seats to non-members. Similarly with Break Sponsor.

I put in the membership information questions for the individual registrations.

I updated the sponsorship form to emphasize that sponsorships are for Community Partners and a link join as one if they are not one.

Not sure what to do about the sponsorship value and cost. I think these price points are fair and a benefit to both sides. We could say the seats need to be given to VAAP individual members but that will be confusing, I imagine.

I think if we set a deadline for the sponsor individuals to register for the training, we will be fine.? I just don’t want to be holding seats that a VAAP member could use.

Hi,

I am at the hospital with my husband right now and cannot do our events meeting today. We will have to wait until next month’s meeting.

I will update you all about things via email in between.

You should see that we have started our campaign for the Winter Academy.

We have an event sponsor and a break sponsor so far.

We have 9 people registered for the event.

Hello Events Committee,

Thanks for being flexible and remaining engaged in service of VAAP.

I wanted to update you that we have a few event sponsors and break sponsors, several people signed up for the event, and all the food and beverage is organized, being provided by Youth For Tomorrow. They will also be providing onsite logistical support.

We have the training facilitators secured.

We are gonna be all set basically for this event now.We are tracking numbers to ensure that we have the seats filled (but not overbooked!)

We will need to make signs for the event with the sponsors logos and thank yous, and maybe a little flyer. Otherwise, we are looking so good!

I noticed that we have 24 registrants out of 26 available seats.? Is the max available accurate?? I thought we were talking around 40-50 seats.
