Hello,

Not sure what "before" is aiming at, maybe my search efforts in the archives have not been successful. I have a bit of a problem translating the detailed parts of a lathe from Swedish to English and might have missed the correct search term...

But from what I have concluded so far I think it is a bit low. I also realize that the board where I have it fixed is not a particularly?solid one, it may introduce some sagging...

But I'll take away "shims" and that may likely work since it is "low". Give this some thought, thanks!

As mantioned before, more information is needed. Is it high, low, sideways? Are head and tail stock axis parallel?
Typically alignment is done with shims to raise the low part up, or even tilt it.
