I did not paint a unimat Pink, but do think it would be appropriate as it a favored happy color for me;? I do like the unimat hammered Bronze color that Bill in OKC referenced, too.? ?I do have a Rose Gold Michaels metal cart though.... thought I might use the IKEA Raskog for a mobile lathe tool unit someday.? I did purchase one but it is still in the box.
I do think the SL generation should be green.? My uni is a DB/SL with a Canada badge, and it came to me in Uni green, so the plan is to keep it uni green.
I am going with the attempt to color match the existing color on this lathe, and then spray it with rustoleum clear hammered finish.
I have to investigate the base paint, as I don't want water base, if I can avoid it, I do have 3 neighboring states, so will have to make some phone calls.? I'm in Indiana and Michigan is only 20 minutes from me - but I don't know if they have a paint store in the neighboring city across the state line.... and I'm about 2 hours from Chicago, and 2 hours to the Ohio border.? I was confused if I am getting an enamel based paint in Indiana or not at the local Sherwin Williams, and since I have to buy a $30 quart, it is kinda expensive to not get an oil based paint, I would rather try to add this to a road trip if I am not getting an enamel base paint.
