Rustoleum Green Hammered

So I decided to tear down my little Unimat and replace the bearings, way bars ?etc. and as long as I have it apart I thought I would degrease and paint it etc.

But it appears Rustoleum Verde Green hammertone is no longer available. Anybody have any thoughts on an alternate? ?

It wont be the same shade but we have a range of paints here in the UK called Hammerite. Very similar to Hammertone but the colors vary. I personally like the royal blue but what ever catches your eye ! British Racing Green is another nice color . Perhaps a little dark.

I believe I used hammered bronze from Rustoleum. Just went back in my posts here, and it's Hammered Dark Bronze, from Rustoleum. There isn't any green in it, but I like it. I understand that at one time, you could get a Rosemary hammered-finish paint in Canada that was very close to the original paint, but I've never seen it. Don't live in Canada.?

Thank you for that, I can get that green locally as well as the stone finish locally. But that green is just not the right shade of green. But that may be what I¡¯m stuck with. So thank you.?

There is still Verde Green Rustoleum available in some stores that is close to the color of early DB200.?

That would be fine! ?Do you have the stock number off if the label? ? I do t know of that is available here in the states, it¡¯s not coming up in my searches. ?

Never mind the stock No. I found it. Out of stock everywhere except possibly one place and they will only sell a case. ?I don't need 6 cans. Must use the Sam pigment base as Verde Green.

? Thanks though. The stock No. is?

Good afternoon,

I repainted my SL with Emco Green paint from Paragon Paints in the UK. It is a pleasant colour and a very serviceable paint, easy to apply

Since I did this they have introduced several hammered paint finishes which may be of interest.

Thank you!

This looks like a winner and the price is fair.? I will see if they will ship to the states. ?

They don't ship to the States.

I will check with a local Automotive parts shop that mixes paint to see if they can mix a Hammertone, if not then it's gonna be grey.

Attached for information is a copy of the color chart that Rustoleum just sent me.? ?The Verde Green is probably the closest to the traditional Unimat green.? But find it.? I went to my True Value hardware.? They checked and found no suppliers(otherwise a few cans on Ebay for mid $40 shipped one can.? These do not exist for me).? So it you want to use hammered, the silver and gray are the closest to the color used on some Unimats.
As I said before, we keep beating the same old horse. It is always that some magic paint store will make it, or it is in another country and unshippable, or I will check, or someone online shows you how, etc.? Just tell me that I can buy one can from so and so.

Hi John, I know for sure that the paint you require can be purchased in the peruvian andes from a local paint shop. However they do not ship to the USA. Also its costs 3 baby lamas and an incan poncho in exchange for just one can ! Let me know if you need the address as you will have to fly there to collect in person :D

Also, apparently Innovations SA is in Haiti.? And during the week Canadian Tire showed one can in stock.? Etc.

Yeah I agree, Rustoleum Verde Green might¡¯s well change its name to ¡®Unobtainable¡¯ Hammered Paint. ?

I might do some testing following up some leads I¡¯ve seen on one of my Hot Rod forums where they lightly mist a fresh wet paint with a silicone spray with decent results. ?

Worth a bit of testing.?
