Put nothing in the filter expression "Text to send on connection" box in "Setup", APRS Server Setup". The filter port, by default, sends nothing unless you specifically request it.

Kerry,
The group is still active in a quiet way.
I suspect you need to ask your question of a group that covers your weather station / WUHU, rather than UI-View.

The wuhu output file will only do a .lst file but ui-view wx needs a wx data .txt file.? How do I produce the .txt file that ui-view wx setup is looking for.? I tried editing the wuhu configuration Data.ini? but not sure I put in the right information.? Can anyone steer me to the setup explination...thank you...Kerry

Uiview wx setup

Hello,
wa2nan, Kerry here.
I'm using ui-view with a LaCrosse ws-2812u-it wx station and the wuhu Heavy Weather Pro software.? I'm trying to get the ui-view wx setup to work.? I think I'm setting up wuhu input file ok with currdat.lst but the output file wants to use the currdat.lst file also.? That won't work as ui-view is looking for a .txt wx dat file in the setup.? Can someone explain this setup, can't seem to find any explanation online..tnx Kerry

Re: Internal variables and last call info.

Did you check the help file? Program is an orphan, so all there is _ is all that there is.
Not quite correct, there is an interface definition document in the Develop sub directory plus quite a lot of other info including VB examples.

Re: Internal variables and last call info.

APRS is not a connecting mode of communication. Packets are transmitted
to all with a generic path. While your station might receive a packet,
it also might be received by a large number of others.

If some one wants to know when they last transmitted and if they used
the correct path settings there are internet sites that will tell them
where they were, when they transmitted and what the receive path was.

!call=a%2FCT1FGS&timerange=3600&tail=3600

Or they can ask you, you could look on your display, find their icon,
click on the icon and read the information.

There is also the user list that you can look at to see if their call is
on your system.

Where can i find a list of all internal variables available? (Ex. $X, $x, $L, $U, etc).

Is there a variable to show the Last Call date of a user?
I’d like, if possible, to show something like this after a user connect: “Your last call was 2021-06-08 11:50AM”.

Re: WRONG CALL IN WX STATION?

If you're using UI-View to send your Wx info, then you can alter your callsign in the 'Wx Station Setup" window under the 'Setup' menu
Your weather station will need to somehow write a wxnow.txt file containing the latest Wx info in the right format (see below) & then you tell UIView to use that file, or perhaps you have a another program that receives the data from the Wx Station maybe via a serial port, and does that job for you. "Weather Display" is one that springs to mind.

One issue you might have with Windows 10 is that it doesn't like programs writing things to the 'Program Files' folder or anything under it, so any changes that you make that get stored in the UIVIEW.INI file, won't stick.
The solution is to install UIview somewhere outside of the 'Program Files' - say 'C:\HamProgs\UIView' and then Windows 10 won't stop the changes you make.
You might also like to read this webpage for more info on this (about 1/2 way down)

Weather Data Format
Here, between the two lines of '*'s is the format of the file your wx software needs to create (the lines of '*'s are not part of the file).

Change the MYCALL setting in your TNC to the -4. That is what your station
ID`s as.

Re: Registration

Hello again,

I logged back into the registration website again four hours later and my registration details were waiting for me.

I think you will now have success at retrieving your details ..... if not let me know! ;-) ;-)

Re: Registration

Hello G8AMD

I have just tried to use the registration site myself and found that no emails are [now] being sent.
Apparently, you have to call back into the web page to receive your registrations details at a later date/time.

Have you called back into the website?

Good luck,
Mike

Subject: [UI-View] Ui-view and WUHU

Hello all,
I have run ui-view with WUHU and a LaCrosse ws-2812u-it weather station for 15 years with no problem.? I've always had the WX station running in ui-view with no problem.? I recently replaced the the computer and now cannot get the ui-view wx station setup.? WUHU finds the currdat.lst input file and the LaCrosse works fine.? Where do I find or how do I setup the output file that ui-view wx is looking for.? I find nothing in the computer such as wx.txt, wxnow.txt, currdat.txt etc.? Is anyone running this setup that can point me in the right direction...
