Re: NWSGet

This is and was a great addition to UI-View32 and PM. Does anyone have a
recent contact with the developer? He is still licensed. Does anyone have an
answer on how to get the program to access the secure servers so the
weather radar images can be used.
I use the combo of UI-View32, PM and NWSGet for all the 1/2 marathons, 5k's
and such that I assist at during the year. Nice having the wx and track of
SAG's etc on one screen.

having the same problem?

NWSget doesn't use shape files. Only the UIview-standard-equipment UI-NWS
uses
them. NWSget is supposed to download color radar images that appear
beneath
the road detail, county and state/province lines, etc in Precision Mapping
9.0 .

NWSget has been essentially broken since Windows 7.0. It would update only
once
an hour or so, and would randomly lockup UIview/PMap Server 9 after
several
hours of operation. Further, it has been "abandonware" for the last 4
years
or so since it's developer abruptly dropped out of sight; i.e. no hope of
a fix.

Now that the (US) National Weather Service has switched from http: servers
to
https: secure servers, the program is even more dead.
