NWSget doesn't use shape files. Only the UIview-standard-equipment UI-NWS uses
them. NWSget is supposed to download color radar images that appear beneath
the road detail, county and state/province lines, etc in Precision Mapping 9.0 .
NWSget has been essentially broken since Windows 7.0. It would update only once
an hour or so, and would randomly lockup UIview/PMap Server 9 after several
hours of operation. Further, it has been "abandonware" for the last 4 years
or so since it's developer abruptly dropped out of sight; i.e. no hope of a fix.
Now that the (US) National Weather Service has switched from http: servers to
https: secure servers, the program is even more dead.
