It looks like we are getting closer to the problem with Ron's finding the?Analyze wait chain in Task manager, of course this still does not explain why any future restarts of Uiview start quite normally after the first hung delay,As I said earlier Keith, I only use TCPIP, and no RF so I never have to configure a Port,

So I set "com port none", rebooted and started UiView and it didn't come
up. I then went into Task Manager and found UiView. This time I right
clicked and selected "Analyze wait chain", not sure what that means.
Screen shot is included. This time I waited, I think around 10 minutes
and "wait chain" went away and UiView came up. So I guess it's going to
take a while for UiView to start in Windows 10 the first time it's
started after a reboot.

Try setting it to "com port none" and saving the changes and exiting
the program and see if it starts normally then. Next open the terminal
window and watch what happens when you enable and disable the TNC.
