Anyway as Stephen said the whole thing is a moot point and the warnings are heavily moderated these days.
I was simply curious why these files would rewrite themselves all the time and of course done while Uiview was switched off....oh well....off down another rabbit hole now!

Oh well, it was worth a look. By the symptoms, it sounded like it could have been a UAC thing even though you don't have it below Program Files.
