As soon as I start Uiview32 both of these files revert to the original server
information so that I see the following lines in both files,

TITLE=WxSvr
FQDN=wxsvr.net
FQDN-wx.aprs-is.net
Isn't all this academic? I thought the finger function no longer worked on the
WXsvr replacement. Or has it been restored?
