Re: CoC APC
Well as in er...real life it's up to you...or rather your junior leader to decide whether to leave a team in the APC or create a new team. Note the rules on pages 50 and 51. Should the leader leave the APC it becomes Un-commanded rule 11.3 As an un-commanded vehicle can only do one thing at a time, there could be just one bloke driving and shooting. Top mounted MGs are pretty effective with 10 dice perhaps with? single crewman they should be reduced by 3 to represent delays in replacing a belt?

Re: CoC APC
Ian,
In the rules as originally written you would have to leave 2 men from the squad in the vehicle, one to act as driver the other to man the MG. It would become an Uncommanded Vehicle and only one crew position could be activated each phase using a Command Dice of ¡®1¡¯ limiting its ability to function effectively as a fighting vehicle. In some later lists German half tracks come with a driver and gunner so the whole squad can dismount but it would still count as an uncommanded vehicle once the JL had moved away. John |
CoC APC
Hi all,?
just after some clarification re APCs. When a section disembarks, if I want the APC to move and/or fire, how many men do I leave in it? I think I have to leave a driver (one man) and crew for an MG - one man, two men, three? This then leaves me with, perhaps, a full team and an understrength team in the section, or do I leave a full team in the APC? regards Ian |

Re: Hex mat
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI like Flying Circus the SPI game.?We played it at Stoke Wargames Group in the early 70¡¯s.?
I painted a Jasta 26 Albatross (Airfix)
Cut out a 8¡± across flats (AF) hexagon from 3mm hardboard, a 3ft. piece of 1/4¡± diam. dowel to glue into the hex.?
Then marked of the altitudes in 500 ft intervals. IIRC.?
A piece transparent polystyrene plastic with a 9/16¡± hole drilled into one end and a piece off the Airfix stand fitted to the other end.?
When the plane was mounted on the stand end and the other end with the hole slid over the dowel.?
The weight of the plane stopped it from sliding down the dowel so height was shown easily during the game.?
Diving and climbing height could be adjusted by sliding the plane up or lowering it on the dowel.?
Sadly no one else made a stand so this was literally the first instance of solo gaming with a single albatross ? Best Regards

Re: Hex mat
There are hexless versions of both. Info on hexless BtH in this thread:? Where Graham writes: "At the risk of thread necromancy, there is a sort of Hexless Bag the Hun already. I wrote an article and produced a set of print and play resources (manoeuvre and formation templates) that specifically allows the game as published to be played on a hexless surface. The article was published in the 2012 Summer Special. Note that the system preceded the more recent discussion and playtesting of the Hexless Algy Version, which uses a completely new (and as yet unpublished) system. Anyway, just in case you're interested - check it out. Tally ho, Graham" Op vr 26 feb. 2021 om 14:14 schreef Chris Gilbride <chris.gilbride@...>:

Hex mat
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý
Hi folks,
I'm thinking of giving Bag the Hun a go, but I am not keen on shelling out huge sums on a hex mat till I have given it a few trial games, any recommendations for a cheap 6 x 4 blue hex mat?
At the worst it can stand in for hex based spaceship? games or naval.
