enough exactly 15mm. IABSM is double that at 1:240, or about 7.5mm, which
is pretty close to 6mm (especially given most 6mm

You may be confusing IABSM with ChoC.?The ground scale for IABSM is about equivalent to 6mm figures. One foot equals 80 yards or 1:240.

It also depends a lot on the scale of the minis you use. 28mm minis need a lot more space than 15mm, and some folks even use 6mm... As far as I remember, the assumed base scale is 15mm.
