If using Big CoC, 1 armoured platoon and 2 infantry platoons but you may want to make the defending Germans Green platoons with a Green Dice option. This uses 5s & 6s but ignores 1-4. Increases the chance of using a CoC dice to avoid morale checks and better chance of Interrupts etc.
Play the table in depth have a Para game in the inland portion.
We did this a few years back at a club day and had a ball. Not sure it was Chain that we used but it worked well.
