Somehow I haven't been very clear but I'm also surprised no one else is using the TT4 as a plain packet TNC.
?
I don't want to transmit APRS on packet frequencies.
?
I don't want to transmit position packets although some packet beacons might contain such information.
?
My current inquiry doesn't involve transmitting weather data.
?
I'll try the suggestions I've been given.
