I think they all sent some information out the serial interface at startup - maybe some firmware info.

Try connecting it to a terminal program like TeraTerm or PuTTY.
I suggest starting at 9600 baud in the terminal program and cycle power on the unit.??
If nothing or unreadable go up to 19200, then down to 4800, 2400, 1200.? I doubt it would go less than 1200

You can barely see N6BG beside the connector on the board. and the board looks the same as The Tiny Track 2.
