FS: Tektronix probes, calibration fixtures, gadgets
3
These are equipment accessories for which I no longer have the original test equipment, mostly from Tektronix, with a few from HP or Aglient. Some notes: 1. accessories with the notation "NOS" are unused, still in their original packages, including their probe leads and so on. 2. accessories with the notation "working" have been tested for basic functionality on a 350MHz oscilloscope. 3. accessories without the notation "working" are sold as-is because I don't have a way to currently test them. 4. oscilloscope probes do not come with grounds, probe clips, or other add-ons unless explicitly noted. 5. accessories are all in good mechanical condition. the older stuff has the usual knicks and scratches. 6. prices do not include shipping costs, which I will add to the purchasse price when I have your address. 7. accessories are grouped, with a price for the lot given. Sorry but I am not interested in breaking the lots up. 8. acceptable payment methods are Zelle, check, USPS money order, and (reluctantly) Paypal family and friends. Checks and money orders must clear before shipping. 9. buy two groups and take a ten percent discount 10. buy it all and take a twenty percent discount Shipping will be from Portland, Oregon and limited to domestic buyers. Given the current turmoil in the United States, customs and overseas shipping is a non-starter for now. My contact information is on QRZ.com under my amateur radio call sign, K7WXW: https://www.qrz.com/db/k7wxw Thanks, Bill TEKTRONIX ACCESSORIES price for group: 80 (4) 012-0747-00 and 020-720-00 logic analyzer probe test lead set (NOS) - in original bags with probe adapters, grounds, probe clip (1) 012-0747-00 logic analyzer probe test lead set (1) 020-720-00 probe adapters (NOS) - in original bags price for group: shipping (6) 015-0580-00 pocket signal generator price for group: 50 (1) 012-1372-00 tekprobe interface cable price for group: 50 (1) S-3A sampling head (SN B041187) (2) 012-0130-00 sampling head interface cable price for group: 200 (1) 013-0098-01 transistor curve tracer fixture (3) 013-0124-00 integrated circuit curve tracer fixture (2) 013-0101-00 TO-66 curve tracer fixture price for group: 100 (1) 067-0608-00 overdrive recovery calibration fixture (1) 067-1341-00 risetime limiter (1) 067-0554-00 tunnel diode pulser (1) 067-0562-00 P6046 input adapter (1) 067-0538-00 input RC normalizer (2) 011-0081-00 termination/feedthrough (1) 067-0569-00 sweep attenuator (1) 015-0168-00 displacement transducer (1) 067-0969-00 tape head alignment module price for group: 200 (5) P6122 100MHz probe (working) (2) P6105A 100Mhz probe (working) (2) P6062B 100MHz probe (working) (1) P6109B 100HMz probe, NOS (working) price for group: 180 (4) P6109 150MHz probe, one NOS (working) (2) P6053B 200MHz probe (working) (3) P6106 250MHz probe (working) price for group: 225 (2) P6135A 150MHz differential probe (working, black tip, with ground cable) price for group: 160 (2) P6134 300MHz probe (working) (2) P6134 300MHz probe (working, no probe tip) price for group: 60 (3) 119-1164-00 bias return HP AND AGILENT ACCESSORIES price for group: shipping (1) HP 8495H attenuator (sma, programmable) price for group: shipping (1) Agilent 16752A logic probe cable set (4 pods) price for group: shipping 54003A(2) HP 54003A probe pods

Bruel and Kjaer Audio Analyser Type 2012 Help needed
Apologies for the off topic post, but members here are the most likely group on the net to be able to help. I have already tried the B&K IOGroup and B&K themselves with no luck. Does anyone have the boot code disk for the Type 2012 audio Analyser which they could copy and send me? I have cured a hardware fault on my unit, but it now reports it needs a reload of its boot code. Any help would be appreciated and reasonable costs met. Pete G4GJL

Light Shade
4
Good afternoon everyone. I'm looking for one of those long tubular light shades for my 545a, if anyone has one they're looking to part with that would be great. Thank you, for reference in the beginning of most of Mr Carlson's videos on YouTube the long light shade on his tek scopes is what I'm looking for. Thank you again.

Tektronix 370A floppy format error ?
9
I'm trying to format a MFD-2DD floppy on a 370A . press 'FAST/SHIFT' screen says... press 'SAVE' I press 'SAVE' and then the 370A displays ' FORMAT BUSY' goes about formatting the floppy 1 to 80 . The floppy drive light turns on during formatting as would be expected. When it gets to 80 , the display screen ' FORMAT ERROR. ' I have tried multiple 1.44 MB floppies as well : old ones and new ones. I bought a low density floppy from AMAZON as well with the same errors . I get the same results, 'FORMAT ERROR' once the 370A gets to track 80. Has anyone ever experienced this problem ? Is it a bad drive ? I'm new to the equipment. It was gifted to the school where I am the lab assistant. Any help would be appreciated. William Foley

Request for some help with Transistor Curve Tracer
7
Kind of an unusual request to the group. I am repairing a 300 watt stereo amplifier, and found a bunch of bad high power output transistors during the debug process. All of these transistors are no longer produced, and also the package style (MT200) is no longer being produced. I don't wish to modify the mechanical assembly to use modern replacements. I have found a source of supposedly replacement transistors which carry the same part number and package style. The problem is that many of these transistors have be "bastardized" and being sold as original spec. Many of them are not. If one had a curve tracer you could compare the so called replacement with the original type, of which I have several. My request is this. Is there anyone in this group who owns one of the Tektronix curve tracers, would be willing to run a series of tests comparing the so called replacements against the original types???? I would send the batch of transistors to you to evaluate. That would at least give me some hope that I can use somewhat original parts to facilitate the repair. I have spoken to a person who has been down this road before and they have indicated that even if I were to use the knock of type of transistor, the amplifier would probably work for a few months and probable die the same type of death. What say the assembled masses???? Regards, Karin Anne Johnson P.E. K3UU

TDS540 Diagnostics
Hi, I am trying to revive a bricked TDS540 that refuses firmware updates. There are useful troubleshooting diagrams in the TDS520 Component Level Diagnostic and Repair Manual Vol 2 available on TekWiki. I suspect that the Byte Decoder PAL U1048 is defective ( signal LLBE irregular ). The Byte Enable Decoder Troubleshooting Procedure refers to a diagnostic called cpuDRAMMem diagnostics, that is not part of this volume. The equations of the U1048 PAL are listed on " Table 6-22 ". Where can I find this information ? Are they part of a "Vol 1" ? Any help / hint is welcome ! Thanks Hans

Repair Tektronix TDS 520
7
Hello everyone, I would like to tell you about the error. The oscilloscope can be switched on, the fan is running and the Key lighting stays on permanently. On the A11 DRAM Processor/Display Board number 8 lights up on the segment display. The device had a problem with all SMD capacitors. Then I replaced all the capacitors and cleaned all Circuit boards. Unfortunately, this action did not fix the error. I then started troubleshooting using the service instructions. Here are the links to it: Volume 1: https://w140.com/tekwiki/images/6/62/070-8312-01.pdf Volume 2: https://w140.com/tekwiki/images/4/48/070-8313-00.pdf I carried out the diagnosis on Volume 1, page 187. The fan is running and after 30 seconds the key lights doesnt turn off. Thereupon According to the instructions, I troubleshooted the processor/front panel procedure (Volume 1 page 195). I checked all the required voltages on connector J2. all OK. The clock signal (3.125Mhz) is also present. According to the instructions, the communication link between the A11 Display/processor board and the A12 front module is faulty. The A12 Front module is most likely defective and should be replaced. There are a lot of troubleshooting instructions described in volume 2 but I think Unfortunately not one applies to me. I think there are missing a few pages. I have measured the processor on the A12 board (Volume 2 page 218). Unfortunately the 3rd page is missing there. I noticed that there was no 2Khz signal on pin 2 of the processor (U1). This means there is no 1Khz square wave signal to set probe. The operating voltages are OK. The clock signal from the A11 board is also present. Does anyone have an idea what this could be? Does anyone know how I should proceed? I wish everyone a merry Christmas! Greetings from Germany Paul

location of the 50 ohm resistor in the attenuator of 2245
8
Hi , new member here. And new to Tektronix scopes after just upgrading from my Tenma 20MHz to a very nice (and mostly functioning) 2465. Does anyone have a board layout for the Attenuators for the 2245 scope? Specifically, I am looking for the location of the 50 Ohm resistor inside the attenuator. I have the service manual which shows the electrical schematic for the attenuator, but I cannot locate the 50 ohm resistor on the attenuator ceramic board. My channel 1 input impedance setting works for the 1 Meg-ohm AC and DC settings, but the signal flat-lines on the 50 ohm DC setting. I suppose the problem could be the latching relay. But still, I'd like to check the resistor. Channel 2 is fine. Cheers!

475 feet
11
I picked up a 475 at a swap meet Saturday. It needs some TLC and a new set of 4 feet. Does anyone have feet, or a recommendation where to get some? I'd be willing to cobble up something if I had an idea how.

Tracking Gen for 7L5

Has anyone here ever adapted anything to replace Option 25? I have been searching for a long time, no luck in finding one. The only thing I've come up with it the right hand side of a TR502 with missing parts.

Tektronix TDS 340A Oscilloscope Power supply
6
Calling Tektronix repair experts. I have a TDS340A where the ZYTEC 2291739 Power Supply literally blew/burnt like 5 component beyond recognition. A little hard work looking at a lots of post and pictures I manage to find all values except for one ZENER DIODE - VR9. Does anyone have an idea of what voltage this should be? (I assume due to the VR that it is a Zener diode).

Setting attenuation manually on a TDS6xxA or 7xxA
Hello *, is there a way to the set the probe attenuation manually on that scopes which dont't have a "Probe Functions" menu like the C or D models? If there is no digital way are there any solutions on the WWW for building my own "Tekscope" connector?
