RPR Conversion from Microfiche to OCR'ed PDF...............
David Garrido
Hello Everyone,
I have taken the liberty to rename the "CONVERTING FICHE TO PDF" thread. We are about 20% to the finish line and I will continue to update the topic about once a week to let everyone know about the progress of the project. Again, so far I have received commitments of about $200.00 USD. We are well on our way to getting this done folks. Lets keep it going. I will not ask for the deposit into my account until we have commitments enough to cover the project cost.......about $1000.00 USD if we are able to use Hakan's latest copy of December 01, 1997. Please email me offline and I will put you on the list for your commitment and keep you updated privately as well as the list here. Cheers, David |

Hakan,
The way things are going we will need to know if you will contribute your fiche by morning in the US. ?But seriously, this group of people NEVER ceases to amaze me. ?Truly astounding response folks. ?We are half way there and just need to double the contributions that have already come in. ?Lets try and get this done sooner than later. ?This is going to be the most useful conversion yet. Thank you for all your support. ?As soon as we get all the contribution commitments I will get this off to the conversion folks. Cheers, David

I know this is a delicate, my apologies. It is very important to me that those that donated know this.
Below is just cut and pasted here for clarity: As some of you will easily recall, back in 2010 I tried desperately to pull this together via donations from the group. At first we were successful at gathering the funds through email commitment however; not nearly as many people actually donated compared to the number that committed through email. I am retired and could not foot the remainder of the bill and have felt like an ABSOLUTE HEEL ever since!!!!! I have now made a contribution in the sum total of ALL monies received back then. 480.00USD I am not at all interested in anything other than trying to help the community and possibly save a little face for a project that was started in earnest to benefit the masses. I VERY MUCH APPRECIATE the understanding of those generous souls whom tried to help initially and deeply regret the direction my effort turned when things fell so desperately short. Thank you for the bandwidth. Cheers, David |

So, are we there yet or more donations needed? I _DID_ make a donation when this subject was raised for the first time but can make another one if we are still short of target...
