My TDS784D has an intermittant fault on the screen which looks to be a bad contact or dry joint. The screen on cold boot is normally showing lots of vertical blue lines or blank, but after a while after the unit has warmed up, the normal screen may come back, but not always. The scope otherwise appears fine, and the output from the VGA on the back shows the correct screen all the time.
So I suspect a dry joint in the CRT drive section somewhere. Re-seating the boards and connectors temporarily hepled, but the fault has returned so pointing to a PCB joint issue.
Can anyone suggest where to start looking for this fault ?
Also is there a service manual I can download for this? I have one for the TDS500D/600D/700D but it may not be 100% correct for this unit.

There is/was a known issue with these newer color monitors.
Usually there was a wide horozontal blue band which I think
could be intermittent. Maybe this isn't your problem but the
fix was to replace the color shutter EPROM to 160-9137-02,
cut one connection to the color shutter board, add one GND
connection and move another.
