7603 82 Vintage Reversed PS
I have two of these models, the LV poser supply is mounted with pcb face to the rear. these have
a fan mounted on a bracket. the 6 transistor heat sink faces to the front, the fan for cooling. there is a separate metal plate (a bit bigger than the lv pcb) with cutout for the fan air stream. the back cover is sheet metal, plenty of punched air holes. As I just downloaded a later vintage 7603 manual, it shows a different assembly for when the 7603 has a fan. What I have is physically identical to the LV power supplies as used on the 7613, 7623, and 7633. The side cover plates have very few holes, as the fan will be drawing air up from the bottom plate. Anyone else have this, what vintage manual shows this? I am in need of one of these lv ps assembly, as least that plate. Stan KO6YB |
Hey H?kan, was there a kit like that for the 7313, or did they all come with a fan? Mine has one.

You can find the kit instructions here /H?kan |
Thanks, H?kan. I don't remember my S/N but I guess it's a late one.
That fan is really quiet. However there was an internal mod effective from SN B260000 which added the the same fan assembly as those used on the other 76xx storage mainframes. So after that SN 7313 had fan as standard and before it didn't have a fan. /H?kan |

I think a friend of mine has it but it has been raped. I can ask. Are you modifying it to use the fan or what here ? Or is it missing or the PCB cracked or whatever ? If you need a working one forget about this one, first it went bad and then got used as a donor. |
