DSA 602, using 7K plugins

I showed years ago that a 7CT1N could be used in a DSA602A in X/Y mode. There is an album 7CT1N-DSA602 in the photos folder.

There are not many 7000 modules that would be useful in a 11K mainframe if you have access to all true 11K modules.
The 7CT1N and 7A22 look like the best candidates for me.

Christian.

I don't own a 7CT1N but the 7A22 is a great plug-in, much more sensitive than the 11A33.

I just have to get over the trauma of cutting it off the tail... :)

Benjamin Badrakh has posted recently about his CAD model of the plugins, and I 3D printed his earlier version that looks just like the end on my 067-0587-10 (which IIRC is compatible with the 11-series plugin). If you want to save an original and have access to a 3D printer, that might be a good option.

During the early 11000-series days there were very few 11k plugins; so, we had to use 7k plugins. After cutting the bits from three or four plugins, you get past that trauma. Rather than carefully sawing, I resorted to diagonal cutters. Just one snip and the bit went away. It¡¯s a much faster and painless way to make a gelding!

If you have time you can borrow an 11k rear panel and install it on the 7k plugin.
