I'm struggling a bit to remain polite as this comment has made me really quite cross. The album has a clear title, the photos have descriptions and comments and all you think worthy of comment is that

Re: 2445B "add" illuminated, no trace.
I don't know whether you noticed, but note that a couple of the resistors in the DAC reference are low TC (R2011-R2013?). IDK whether that's really warranted, given that the scope only has +- 2%

Re: 74S112 in a 7D14 (14-pin vs 16-pin socket)
Paul, Yes, PR input is always supposed to be HI through R742. I may map the adapter board just to see what pins go where which should make the process of determining whether an 'S73 would be

Hello Everybody, Thank you Michael, glad you like the schematic. I thought the 7603 was going to be "the repair of a lifetime". Turns out it was something simple. Since I'm at it, I am confused with

Added two more files (one in Mandarin, I believe; a Google translation that seems rough and I don't trust; maybe someone with knowledge could make it better). TT P.S. Someone sent me a private E-mail

Re: 74S112 in a 7D14 (14-pin vs 16-pin socket)
The manual says (and tek-wiki says) that the HF board was redesigned after a certain serial number.? Mine's the earlier one. Harvey

Re: 74S112 in a 7D14 (14-pin vs 16-pin socket)
Yes, on the schematic, the plugin uses C (pin 14) and S (pin 10). As I understand it, those are the CLR and PR pins. Thanks, Barry - N4BUQ

Re: 74S112 in a 7D14 (14-pin vs 16-pin socket)
74S73 lacks the PR input - which forces the output HIGH, so it's really "pre-Set" rather than reset, CLR forces the output low. I shouldn't start typing without fully engaging brain but I was busy

Re: 74S112 in a 7D14 (14-pin vs 16-pin socket)
I should clarify that both boards have the large, round U329. I hadn't realized that the new chip carried the same ID as the old one. Thanks, Barry - N4BUQ

Re: 74S112 in a 7D14 (14-pin vs 16-pin socket)
If they changed to a chip with a RESET, then they would've changed the schematic as well because that line is on the schematics I have and I'm not finding evidence to support that either. Very

Re: 2445B "add" illuminated, no trace.
They're very inexpensive in that package, but the shipping is way too high. Best bought in 100 quantities, the price is surprisingly low. Careful with the package, though, there are SOT-23 and SC70
