That is exactly how I test them I made a plug from one of the extender cards available from the video game service people. I brought out all six leads for the outboard power transistors so I can test

Re: TroubleShooting Some TM500 gear.
It's an obvious idea, but instead of building a test jig into a "blank"?plug-in
(which is probably going to be nearly impossible to find) you could build it
seperately and connect it using the plug

That link returns a "The file link that you requested is not valid. " error
message.
I would like to have that schematic also so I can fix and use my TM-500
gear.
Thanks,

New 422
I just rescued a 422 (#9976) from a local guy via Craigslist.
Seems to be in pretty good physical shape. It's missing the
ground pin on the AC only p/s, both P6006 probes it came with
are trashed

Re: TroubleShooting Some TM500 gear.
Except for the pinout, the MJE2955 is a fine replacement for the
SJE925.
There is a non-exhaustive list and discussion of substitutes

Re: Shipping (non Tek)
I may be miss-understanding something but flat rate allows 70lbs so minimize
the volume and put it in the smallest USPS flat rate box that it will fit
in. If it won't fit in a large flat rate then

Re: Shipping (non Tek)
If you could possibly divide it into 2 pieces, both under 20 pounds,
the cheapest way would be 2 USPS flat rate boxes.
Otherwise plain USPS.
