Re: 2465b vertical issue
Forgot another very important thing: AFAIR, the issue is *not* present on Channels 3 and 4, if it's the Channel Select hybrid. Raymond

Re: 2465b vertical issue
There is a relatively frequent issue with the Channel Switch Hybrid (U400) in 2445's and 2465's. Replacement is the only option if it's the culprit. Sphere usually has it in stock but it isn't a cheap

Re: 7B92 No Auto trigger
Pin 6 goes high when auto with no trigger is selected, so that appears to be fine. I've traced it as far as the sweep gate signal going to pin 3 of U380. From there it gets complicated because things

Re: 2465b vertical issue
Oh, also. Use great caution around those pins and don't force anything. If you crack the glass, you will be out a tube. Tom

Re: 2465b vertical issue
Maybe one of the vertical deflection plate leads has disconnected from the tube? On the vertical, there are four connections to the plates, two on the bottom and two on the top. Tom

The X10 magnifier is on (TB variable knob pulled out) and the intensity turned up. The expanded trace is "reflecting" from the inside of the tube envelope. (Electron scattering.) All tubes do that to

I have a 7B92 (not the A version) plugin that has an odd problem. There's no trace in auto trigger mode unless it's triggered from a signal. Basically, auto behaves the same as normal. I've confirmed

Re: Need a replacement CRT
I may have one. I got 4 or 5 crt's from a friend who worked here 25 years ago. I was going to use one for a FM tuner display for my Sansui 9900. I believe they are still somewhere in my lab... Steve
